A Little History The original Prescott family came to this country in the 1600's. Decendants Col. Benjamin Prescott and his brother, Oliver, were among the earliest settlers in Jaffrey. Benjamin's accomplishments were many. He was a soldier in the Revolution, a militia colonel, selectman, constable, deacon and tavern owner in his time. The building which is now the Inn was constructed in 1853 by Benjamin and Oliver, and each guest room or suite in the Inn is named for a member of their family and furnished to provide a taste of life as it was in times past. Come join us for a tour in words and pictures. Your Innkeepers Ruth has always wanted to own a B&B Inn. Now that the children are grown, Ruth and Jim Graff have made that dream a reality. In July of 2014 they purchased the Benjamin Prescott Inn. Both Ruth and Jim have over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. Ruth has a culinary and management degree from Johnson & Wales University and has worked for Marriott, Delaware North Parks and Resorts and HMS Host. Jim is a graduate of Penn State University and has worked for hospitality management companies such as Aramark and HMS Host.
